Biography

Adze Ugah is a Nigerian-born, South Africa-based filmmaker celebrated for his dynamic storytelling and impactful visuals. A graduate of Nigeria's National Film Institute and South Africa’s AFDA, he has directed acclaimed films like Gog’ Helen, Mrs. Right Guy, and 10 Days in Sun City. His television credits include Isibaya, Shaka iLembe, and Jacob’s Cross. Ugah's documentary The Burning Man won four Golden Horn awards at the SAFTAs. His work spans platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime, and he actively mentors emerging filmmakers through various educational initiatives.
